Our second day in Berlin and day 6 of our epic adventure.
We started the day off with a walking tour of Berlin to get to know the city and its history. We visited some parliament buildings and was shown some images from the World War II to compare with.
We visited the Holocaust memorial square and saw some sections of the Berlin wall.
After a day of learning and exploring, we headed off to David’s home town of Werder where there was a wine festival taking place! We sampled some great fruit wines and even purchased a couple bottles for ourselves.
We finished off the day with an amazing barbeque dinner hosted by David’s parents!
