After enduring the flight from Pearson International Airport into Gatwick we were finally in the United Kingdom Our flight had us arriving in Europe a day earlier than our friends who we were to meet up with Amsterdam. So we rented a car and drove off into the country side for some exploring.
Our first stop was Bath. We discovered that Bath had a lot of Roman baths!
We made our way from Bath to see Stonehenge on the way to London. Unfortunately for us, we forgot to check the hours of operation and ended up arriving after closing time.
We spent the night at my cousin, Daniel’s place in London before heading off to our next destination. We set Daniel’s place up as our base and left a suitcase for us to send packages to while we explored the rest of Europe! This is a great tip for backpacking trips if you are flying out of the same city you arrived in and have a local to receive your cherished goods from your journey.
